Felling has begun here and on neighbouring forestry plantations for the Clyde windfarm -
152 turbines on either side of the A74(M)
between Beattock and Abington. Scottish landscape artist Lizzie Rose is making a record
of the changes during a year-long residency
and her work will be posted here as the project progresses. read about Documenting Change 2010

Welcome, too, to our first two WWOOFers
(Willing Workers on Organic Farms), Jess
and Kris. There has been some snow damage
to our buildings: the shed roof caved in under
the weight, some roans are buckled and the
Aga chimney broke off the barn roof.
Repairs are now in hand, and welcome
signs of spring - snowdrops and daffodils
- are appearing at long last.
